The lid recovers even from extensive deformation, unlike injection moulded plastic lids. The design avoids water draining into the bin, unlike some alternatives.

Lids are rotary-moulded double-skin plastic with a minimum weight of 5.0 kilos manufactured in an aluminium mould for a superior finish.
